Yes. Hinderer automatic knives are built to order.

You can choose your model, blade, finish, scale material, scale colors, inlay options, and hardware—giving you full control over your configuration.

FAQ - Features

Yes. Hinderer automatics feature a 5-position adjustable spring system.

Adjusting the spring changes the force and speed of deployment. All knives leave the shop set to the highest setting for strong, reliable deployment.


Each position adjusts the strength of the spring, which changes how fast and forcefully the blade deploys.

Second generation automatics include:

  • Tri-Way Pivot System, knives will start on bearings and the blade will feature our tri-way laser marking
  • Bigger Push Button on the Automatic Knives


Finish options vary depending on the model and configuration. Available finishes will be shown when building your knife.

FAQ - Orders & Shipping


Yes. Each knife is built and assembled per order based on your selected configuration.


Please allow approximately 1 week for assembly and processing. Shipping typically takes 2–4 business days after dispatch.


We ship via UPS and USPS.


No. We do not ship automatic knives internationally.


Due to state laws and carrier restrictions, we do not ship automatic knives to the following states:

  • New Mexico
  • Minnesota
  • Washington
  • California
  • New Jersey
  • Delaware
  • New York
  • Vermont
  • Hawaii


It is the customer’s responsibility to understand and comply with their local laws before placing an order.

FAQ - Returns & Warranty


Unused items may be returned within 30 days, subject to shipping costs and a 2.5% restocking fee.


Used items and seasonal or holiday releases are not eligible for return.


Contact us within 5 days of delivery and we will resolve the issue at no cost to you.


We offer a serviceable lifetime warranty covering manufacturing defects. For more information on our warranty please go to our warranty form for additional information.
